To the many people that are looking for “love in the clubbb”, your solution might be here.. is PLUR for sure. It is designed to hook up fellow ravers that are looking for a relationship. The EDM scene is a very sexual and fun-loving environment therefore; I’m not surprised to see that someone has finally created this site. It makes me wish I started that site instead of this blog to be honest. I can see the huge market that they are tapping into with the increasing popularity of Electronic Dance Music and the rave scene. I myself, am a single raver and there’s nothing worse than noticing that most of the hot girls are paired up with their boyfriends (just because there’s a goalie in net, doesn’t mean you can’t score). When all you want to do is dance, sometimes it can be hard to find a partner in the club, especially for guys. I’m sure this site is more dudes than girls as well, but you’ll never know if you don’t try, right? It would be so much more convenient to go with someone to these events then feel like a creeper cruising through the dance floor.

As for now, it’s only available to those in the U.S. I’m really curious to see if it will pick up and enter the Canadian market. Any one in the U.S. who has tried this site, the rest of us Canadians would love to know what you think!

Eminem's childhood home in Detroit, Michigan

Eminem’s childhood home in Detroit, Michigan

Eminem’s notorious childhood home, the same crib that is pictured on the cover of his new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 was burned in a fire yesterday.

The house is a 767 square foot, 2-story bungalow, located right near 8 Mile Rd. in Detroit, Michigan. It has sustained damage to the second floor. Fire crews were able to put out the flames before it spread to the rest of the home.

Officials say the blaze began around 6:20 pm Thursday evening. So far, it’s unclear how the fire began.

Public records show the home was bought by Em’s mom in 1987 for $19,900 and has had roughly 10 other owners since then. The home was eventually abandoned, and after failing to sell for $500 at a recent auction, it’s currently owned by a bank.

It has been advised in the past for Eminem fans not to visit the house to take pictures as there are many gangs and criminals that prey at on-lookers.

Let’s see what happens next!

Do you have beef in the office? Or are you a notorious criminal going for a stroll down Bay Street? Looking for peace of mind? A Toronto tailor has your answer. He will make you a custom bulletproof suit for only $20,000. If you are the type of clientele who feels the need for this sort of protection, that’s a small price to pay.

Which is exactly what happened. Responding to requests from elite clients who travel to dangerous places for work, Michael Nguyen, owner of Garrison Bespoke, set out to develop a discreet alternative to the traditional bulky Kevlar vest. His solution, unveiled yesterday, is a three-piece suit lined with the same carbon-nanotube technology worn by U.S. troops in Iraq. Each suit takes 160 hours to make, is 30 times stronger than steel and protects its wearer from all kinds of threats, including attempted knifings and gunshots from semi-automatic pistols.

President Barack Obama reportedly wore a similar get-up at his first inauguration. Clearly, plenty of non-presidents also feel the need for tailored protection: four orders have already been placed.

Let’s just hope they don’t aim for the head.

Really good info. to keep in mind!

“I just took six hits of Molly.” Those were 20-year-old Olivia Rotondo’s last words to an EMS worker at this year’s Electric Zoo Music Festival. Jeffrey Russ, 24, also died from an MDMA overdose at that same event. Four other people were hospitalized.

Fortunately, the media used the tragedy at Electric Zoo to have a thoughtful, informed discussion about MDMA use in the EDM community. Just kidding. The media chose the “Blind Hysteria” option. For example, The New York Daily News’ headline the next day was simply “DEATH FEST”.

It wasn’t all that long ago that Congress was attempting to outright ban all raves and dance music events on the basis that club owners and promoters knowingly allowed illegal drug activity on their premises. And when a teenager died at Electric Daisy Carnival in 2010, California politicians immediately proposed the “Anti Raves Act” of 2011 to ban raves…

In a recent interview with BBC ‘Newsnight’, Jeremy Paxman talks to Russell Brand about voting, revolution and beards, as he launches his guest edit for the New Statesman.

Russell Brand is a British comedian most known for his marriage to pop-star Katy Perry. He also played the main role in Get Him To The Greek (2010) with Jonah Hill where he plays a deranged rock star, and it is Jonah Hill’s responsibility on behalf of the agency to get him to his show at the Greek.

Russell sheds light on current issues that are prevalent but ignored in today’s lower and middle class society. He raises a good point on doing drugs in suburban areas because there is nothing else to do, especially when most people have little to no expendable income. He states that he has never voted and you shouldn’t either as this promotes the illusion that our current democratic system is working. Interesting, right? See what else he has to say in the full interview below.

Do you agree with him?

This morning, during a press conference, Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, admitted to his allegations of smoking crack.  Really!?

It’s obvious the guy likes to party but I’m still not convinced. I mean, cocaine I can see because it’s an exclusive drug like the mayor’s lifestyle. Crack is the lowest form of drug out there, designed and used by people who wanted to make the most out of cocaine because they can only afford small quantities. It just doesn’t make sense to me however, he admitted to it so it must be legit right? It’s almost admirable that someone who likes to drink and get high can attain a such a position to run a large city in this day and age. There is hope for us all!

Although, watching his confession did look awkward and dishonest, there’s definitely more to this story and I’m excited to see how it all unfolds. There is some underlying events going on that are placing pressure on Rob Ford, partly political and partly criminal. The best part is, he cannot be removed from office he will have to re-sign on his own. Well played Mr. Ford.

Do you think this is the honest truth? Check out his confession for yourself..
